and found stuff I practically forgot about & started reminiscing (once again - 'cuz, it's something we tend to do as many years have passed by )
In a box of un-categorized stuff I came across work intermingled between elementary school photo-shoots and holiday gatherings. My, what memories. A copy of a Norman Rockwell masterpiece from my teens, an old masters surgical suite painted in oil for a Doctor as a present, myself up on a scissor truck (35 feet in the air - for weeks on end) against a shopping mall outside wall ! ((say that one three times fast))
... from the smallest of work (calligraphy class) ... to the Largest of work (unfinished wall murals)
Portraits of clients - with their arm around Elvis,
Medical Illustrations - depicting the Pelvis.
Fashion faux pas - often times Funny,
Calligraphy cards - hand made for a Honey.
Cartoon Strips - with subjects all things Health,
Technical Drawings - showing Military Stealth.
Calligraphy Class Photos - I was the Teacher,
Christian Radio Advertisement - alongside a Preacher.
Preamble to Constitution - shot from the Bleachers,
walking on beach - wearing no sneakers. OK - that was gratuitous
But, in essence this got me to thinking,... "I'm an ARTIST 4 HIRE" and have taken on multitudes of tasks - for the work ?! Yes, but also for the opportunity to grow, learn and soak up all I can. As long as I can remember I've always been more-than-interested in All Things Art
Some things I do until I'm sick of 'em, some till I feel I cannot improve any more - Most times till I learn all I can (with my self-taught approach) All-in-all I do stuff that interests me. It has a connection to my artistic DNA that makes my motor run, funny bone laugh AND blood flow like a raging river.
IF you watch me - I promise to surprise ya now and again with works no-one else has ever thought of,... AND maybe even Art that makes ya think.

Devious Journal Entry
My continuing adventures as an artist...
a continuing saga of my previous Journal entry http://theartyst.deviantart.com/journal/21274640/
A muggy morning greets me with a 15 minute sprinkle of rain showers. It's expected to be 101 degrees today (no point in showering ;) a record high in New York city to cap-off the start of Summer. They said, "partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain." (uh huh, anti-persperant is reduced totally useless). None the less, I have a sunny disposition (pun intended) smile on my mug and optimism for a new day of art sales outside the MET. ( Metropolitan Museum of Art ) on 81st street and 5th Avenue.
It's my fifth week of this new Art Venture, and I'm
'WORK OF ART: the next Great Artist'
the first (aired on TV) so-called Reality Show for artists debuted on Bravo TV Wednesday June 9, 2010
I had been waiting with anticipation since I auditioned last year in Miami Florida. I found out about this particular screen test in the last hour and made the mad-dash with 2 original oil paintings in tow (Salad Bar & Everybodies Beautiful) to supposedly "wow 'em" with my originality and personality,... ... ... It was a muggy hot day in Miami and the line of artist prospects were forming around the block clutching their creations as they stood motionless in the sun's unshaded rays. Needless to say, the wait to get into the front door for pr
Tagged - the opposite of Gagged ...
I was tagged by his loop-ness, which apparently means I am expected to:
1.) Post the rules
2.) Each tagged person tells 8 things about themselves.
3.) At the end tag 8 people and put their icon in your journal.
4.) Then go to their page and leave a comment saying you tagged them.
5.) No tag backs
so, here's 8 random things about me:
1) I wake-up out of the funny side of the bed most mornings.
2) I take most things lightly, mainly because I have really strong muscles. When I require more, I just draw 'em.
3) I've eaten my weight in chocolate 5 times over,... it took 30 years. When no one is watching I've been known to eat five course
