Victor Powell (*theartyst), the creator of this artwork, suggested himself for this DD with the following:
"Taking approximately 800 hours to complete, the 48" x 48" oil painting Everybodies Beautiful is much more than Times Square being over-run by mannequins. It's my way of taking a jab at the ever-growing ever-addicting plastic surgery phenomenon, and if you look even closer, you'll see that I'm using road construction as a metaphor for plastic surgery. The setting is in Times Square, because I believe that's the center of everything (well, especially business wise) and it's a place that has changed to the hub of constant advertisements - telling us what to wear, how to look, where to go to and what to buy." Seriously stunning art work. There are so much to see in it. And to ponder.

thanks so much, Details will be posted before the weeks done...

Dang, this is awesome, it's a great painting, and even with a message. :omg:

But I thought long hair was also considered of the highest beauty?

Thanks, and U are Right - long hair signifies beauty,... BUT I'm making a statement on Plastic Surgery, and used mannequins as a model 4 every person ((sculptured hair works best - as not to take away from the SAME LOOK)) "They are plastic on the outside"
:iconfrisiandude:
Ofcourse, for a mannequin you'd need the short hair, you're right. :)

I love the detail and the way the faces are identical, I could never do that
Lol, victors secret, that's awesome

Tell me, is oil painting hard? Cause I have never tried them before and it might be interesting to try a new medium

This is beautiful. You've developed an amazing style. I like your work a lot.
:icontheartyst:
thanks Dominik ,

Yeah I've finally decided on what style to pursue around 7 years ago,... kind of a "cartoon realism" take, not completely realism - not completely a cartoon. But, having a candy colored look 2 it.

This piece is the most muted of the Seven Paintings in the series, though.

well, to ask if something is hard is a loaded question, because after time ((usually lots of tyme)) everything gets easier, so YES it's HARD in the beginning...

I'm always learning new things - so watch out, harder things are coming up ;o)
:iconshadowiz:
Ah okay, maybe I'll wait until I get further into understanding other stuff before trying that

And yay! Good luck C:
